Being in a market like Indianapolis is a wonderful thing. Honestly, I can’t think of a better place to work. It’s growth as of late has been steady and healthy. There is plenty of work to be had and, for the most part, contractors in this market, both local and national, seem to have similar values to my own. We all want to give the owner a great building from which they can serve their customers. Could anything be as important to the lifeblood of a company? We also have a thriving trade of both national, regional and local companies that keep things interesting for consumers. I truly have been honored to serve this community over the last 15 years.
It has been sad watching many local painting contractors who, like us, were strictly commercial in their trade go through the rough late 2000’s only to come out the other end something quite changed. Many have suffered decline. Even more have moved to the national stage, traveling the United States painting national chain stores. Not many have remained local trade companies focused on the Indianapolis and surround communities. I believe there is plenty of work in Indianapolis and that the market is not over saturated with good, local contractors. We are committed to remaining a local company serving the local market. We believe this makes us easier to work with (how many national contractors can you get to return in a timely manner to fix a warranty issue?) We also believe this helps our tradesmen. They are home every night to be with their families and to help build up their neighborhoods and communities. These are our commitments.
I have also believed for many years that have a base of operations, a building would help us not only build a presence, but also a home for our family of painters. A place to meet and to eat together. A place to increase our capacity to serve you. In December, we did just that. We purchased a building that needed some love in downtown Mooresville (a small town on the southwest side of Indy that I highly commend to you). In an effort to better serve our customers, we are also adding an estimator and an office manager. I am confident that you will soon be seeing a more timely return of paperwork and bid submissions. We are committed to being an asset to the community and to always improve our service to you the customer.
Our building and our growth is a work in progress, but I am certain that we have many good decades of service to come. I am excited about what the next few years will bring. For all of you who have allowed us the good fortune to help shoulder your workload, thank you. We wouldn’t be able to do it without you!
